kaliba
Terms of Use
Last updated: 2026-08-27
These terms govern your use of kaliba. Please read them — creating an account and actively accepting the terms means you agree to them.
1. Who we are
kaliba is provided by Zarro Labz AB (company registration no. 559564-4732), Kungälv, Sweden. You can reach us at support@kaliba.app.
2. What kaliba is – and is not
kaliba helps you plan food and training with open, predictable math. You get calorie and macro targets, and you can always see the calculation behind them.
The numbers are reference values, not medical prescriptions. kaliba is not medical advice, not a medical device, not a diagnosis and not a treatment, and it never replaces a doctor, dietitian or other qualified professional. Consult a professional before making significant changes to your diet or training — especially if you have a health condition, are pregnant or nursing, take medication, or have a history of an eating disorder.
3. Who can use kaliba
kaliba is for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old. When you register you enter your date of birth; if you are under 18 you cannot continue. We do not verify your age against ID — you are responsible for the accuracy of the information.
4. Your account
You are responsible for the information you provide, for keeping your login details safe, and for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect someone else has used it.
5. Free and premium
The kaliba engine — the calculator, the plan, the food log and the training log — is free with an account.
Premium is an optional paid subscription. Prices and billing terms are shown before you buy. The purchase itself is sold through Link, Stripe's payments service, which is the merchant of record for the subscription: Link appears on your receipt and card statement, issues the receipt and handles VAT, and Link's terms of sale, shown at checkout, also apply to the purchase. We never store your card details. The subscription renews period by period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time — in the app or through your Link account — and it remains active until the end of the period you have already paid for. If a payment fails we will remind you; if it still cannot be completed, premium features are switched off while the free parts and your data remain.
As a consumer in the EU/EEA you have a 14-day right of withdrawal under EU consumer law (in Sweden, the Distance Contracts Act 2005:59). The withdrawal period runs from the day you subscribe. If you want to use premium immediately, we ask you in the checkout flow to expressly request that the service begin during the withdrawal period. If you then withdraw within the period, you only pay for the part of the period that has passed. The easiest way to withdraw is in the app or by emailing support@kaliba.app — we then end the subscription and make sure the refund is made; the money is returned through Link within 14 days. You may also contact Link support directly, or use the standard withdrawal form provided under EU consumer law.
6. The AI coach
Premium includes a coach that answers in text. The answers are written by a language model from Google (Gemini), not by a human. The coach uses the numbers the kaliba engine has calculated and the context from your data needed to answer; it never invents its own figures. Like all AI, the coach can still get things wrong or phrase them poorly — read its answers critically, and trust the engine for the numbers.
The coach requires its own explicit consent before first use. It only answers about food and training, declines to give weight-loss advice to anyone who states they are under 18, and is restrained if the health questions in section 7 have shown signs of a strained relationship with food. It never gives medical advice. The rest of kaliba works without the coach.
7. Health and safety
kaliba is built for calm, lasting change. When you register we ask a few short questions about your relationship with food, weight and training. The questions are voluntary and can be skipped. The answers are used to make the app more careful: it can lock an aggressive pace, soften the coach's answers and suggest that you seek support.
This is care, not healthcare. kaliba makes no diagnosis, does not screen clinically and does not treat eating disorders. How the answers are handled is described in the privacy policy.
8. Acceptable use
Use kaliba lawfully and as intended. Do not misuse the service, attempt to disrupt it or circumvent its limitations, decompile it, resell it, or use it to break the law or infringe the rights of others.
9. Intellectual property
kaliba, its software, design, method and content belong to Zarro Labz AB and are protected by law. You may use the app for your own personal use, but not copy it, resell it or build a competing service on our content. The data you enter about yourself remains yours.
10. Your responsibility and limitation of liability
You use kaliba's guidance at your own discretion. You choose your goal and pace, and you decide how to act on what the app shows. Results vary between people, and no result is guaranteed. Listen to your body: stop and seek qualified help if you feel unwell.
kaliba is provided on an as-available basis; we do not guarantee that the service is always free from interruptions or defects, but we remedy defects in accordance with our obligations under law. To the extent mandatory law permits, Zarro Labz AB is not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits your protection under mandatory consumer law, or our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for gross negligence or intent.
11. Changes to the terms and the service
We may change the service and these terms for valid reasons: to comply with law, address security risks, or develop and improve the service. Changes to an ongoing service are made at no extra cost to you.
Each version of the terms is dated, and your acceptance is stored together with the version you accepted — so it is always possible to see what you actually agreed to.
For material changes — for example to pricing, to the allocation of responsibility in these terms, or to core features — we will notify you at least 30 days in advance in a durable way (for example by email or in the app) and ask you to accept again. If a change degrades the service for you more than insignificantly, you may terminate the agreement free of charge within 30 days of being informed; if you have prepaid for premium, we refund the part covering the time after termination.
For minor changes — clarifications, editorial adjustments or new features that are not to your detriment — notice is sufficient, and continued use means you accept the current version. Changes concerning the processing of your personal data are handled under the privacy policy and may require new consent.
12. Ending your use
You can stop using kaliba at any time and delete your account directly in the app.
We may suspend or end your access if these terms are breached. If we do, you will receive notice with the reasons and, where reasonable, an opportunity to remedy the breach. A suspension does not affect rights you have under mandatory law.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Swedish law. We prefer to resolve disputes through conversation — contact us first. If we cannot agree, the dispute is settled by the Swedish general courts, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence. You may also turn to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, ARN), Box 174, SE-101 23 Stockholm, www.arn.se — we participate in ARN proceedings. If you live in another EU/EEA country, the European Consumer Centres Network (ECC-Net) can help you free of charge, and you always keep the mandatory consumer protections of your own country.
